Education, not a diagnosis.

BodyFinds exists to help you understand health topics and prepare better conversations with qualified professionals. This page states, clearly and without hedging, what our content is and what it is not.

Educational information only

All content on bodyfinds.com — including articles, condition and organ pages, supplement evaluations, guided questions, tools, and product comparisons — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a physician or other qualified healthcare provider.

Nothing on this site creates a doctor-patient relationship. Reading a BodyFinds page does not make us your care team, and us describing a condition does not mean we are assessing yours.

No diagnosis or treatment

You should not use BodyFinds content to diagnose yourself or others, to start or stop any medication or supplement, or to delay or disregard professional medical advice. Health symptoms can have many causes — including serious ones that pages on this site may describe — and distinguishing between them requires examination, testing, and clinical judgment that a website cannot provide.

Our guided journeys, symptom explorers, and “why am I…” pages are narrowing aids, not diagnostic instruments. They help you think about what might be worth discussing with a professional; they never tell you what you have.

Supplements & FDA evaluation

BodyFinds discusses dietary supplements extensively — including evidence grades, forms, dosing patterns, and safety interactions. The following statement applies to that content, as required:

  • Product names and comparisons on this site are educational examples of formulations, not recommendations to purchase or consume any specific product.
  • Supplements can interact with medications, worsen medical conditions, and be inappropriate in pregnancy or for children. Read every safety note on our pages — and then verify with your own clinician.
  • Never stop or adjust a prescribed medication in order to take a supplement. That decision belongs to the prescriber.

Your individual circumstances

General educational content cannot account for your history, medications, conditions, lab values, or circumstances. Two people with the same symptom may need entirely different workups. This is the core reason individualized evaluation exists — and the core limitation of any publication, including ours.

Content currency

Health evidence evolves. We date our pages, note review status honestly, and update content as evidence and authoritative guidance change — see our Editorial Policy and Sources & References. But even current, well-sourced content is general by nature. Where our pages state a review date, that date reflects editorial review, not a guarantee of completeness.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BodyFinds and its contributors are not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of, or reliance on, the information on this site. Your use of the site is also governed by our Terms of Use.

The honest version

We built BodyFinds because health information is often either sensational, shallow, or selling something. We try to be none of those. But the most honest one-line summary of this entire page is:
