How we build our pages.

BodyFinds publishes health information for education and exploration. This page explains how that content is sourced, written, reviewed, and kept separate from anything commercial.

How we evaluate sources

For health claims, we prioritize sources in this order:

  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses (e.g., Cochrane)
  • Randomized controlled trials, where appropriate
  • Clinical guidelines from recognized professional organizations
  • Government health agencies (NIH, CDC, FDA, WHO) and major medical institutions

How we write health claims

BodyFinds content is written in calibrated language. We say what evidence suggests — “may”, “can be associated with”, “evidence remains limited” — rather than implying certainty or diagnosis. BodyFinds does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical advice.

What our dates mean

  • Last reviewed — when the page content was last checked for accuracy.
  • Evidence updated — when the underlying evidence was last re-examined.

These dates change only through an actual editorial review — never because the site was rebuilt or restyled.

Editorial content vs. commercial content

Editorial explanations and evidence summaries are written independently of any product recommendation. Where product sections exist, they are clearly separated, and some links may be affiliate links — if you purchase through them, BodyFinds may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships never determine our editorial conclusions. Full details: our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy.

Who writes BodyFinds

Pages are written by the BodyFinds editorial team. We only state that a page received medical review when a qualified reviewer has actually reviewed it — and then that reviewer is named. We do not fabricate credentials, reviewers, or institutional affiliations.
